Meet The Author
Liddell Rayne is an independent horror author based in the Pacific Northwest, where the endless rain and ancient forests provide the perfect backdrop for crafting tales of dread. Writing across folk horror, psychological terror, and body horror, Liddell creates stories that linger long after the last page.
The Pen Name
The name "Liddell Rayne" carries a personal significance. "Liddell" is a nod to Alice Liddell, the inspiration behind Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland — a story where wonder and unease walk hand in hand. "Rayne" comes from something closer to home: a tribute to a beloved companion who was always there during the late-night writing sessions.
Why Indie?
As an independent author, Liddell controls every aspect of the work — from the stories themselves to the covers, the marketing, and the connection with readers. Every purchase directly supports an independent creator. No publishers taking a cut. No algorithms deciding what you see. Just stories, from the author to you. With the exeption of Velvet Dusk (Realeased in a Sapphic Horror Anthology) and Mask of the Rabbit (releases December 18th), both of which are being released through Dead Fox Publishing.
